How to: Be A Healthy Vegan. | Cornelia

Being a vegan is relatively easy thing to do. Just cut out all animal products.
But being a healthy vegan is something else, this is how I do it!

Note 1: Vegetables 2 Meals a Day.
Vegetables are the best! So make sure to eat them as often as you possibly can.
If you don't like the taste of them, mix into your smoothie or your meals!

Note 2: Orange & Lemon Water.
Every morning I drink a cold refreshing drink of orange and lemon water.
(or just lemon water in case I don't have any oranges).

Note 3: Try Eat Clean 5 Days a Week.
This means eating good whole foods for 5 days a week.
I would recommend taking weekends or special occasions off.
Of course it's okay if 4 days a week sometimes.

Note 4: Eat Good Fats.
We as a society needs to stop being afraid of fats.
The body is built up by water and fats. To be able to feel good we need fats.
I would recommend eating most fats in whole form, like: avocados and nuts.
And eat oil but not too much.
Eat what makes you feel good!

Note 5: Eat Greens.
Green = lean...kind of.
Yeah I hate talking about weight loss, since I'd rather refer to health as a thing that you should be striving for rather then just being skinny, but greens are amazing!
They are so healthy and can be/are delicious.

Note 6: Yoga.
So you might wonder, what is she talking about?!
It has actually been proven that yoga can help your health dramatically.
Why? Well let me tell you.
Yoga itself is very calming and creates a self-awarness about yourself.
The more self-aware you are, the more likely you are to make good decisions for yourself.
That means food and exercise. You will make better decision and become more aware of when the decisions that you make are bad.

Note 7: Exercise 5 Days a Week.
Now this may sound like a lot, but necessarily it doesn't have to.
I run three times a week and I do an at home workout two days a week.
(if you want to see the workout, I will make a post later).
I run for about 30 minutes (usually in the morning) and the workout is about 20 minutes.
Exercise doesn't have to be that harsh on you to be a workout.
If you're just starting off on a healthy lifestyle, maybe you'd like to start by taking a 60 minute walk five days a week and then build that up as you go.

Note 8: Eat Your Fruits in the Morning.
This is the way to go. Fruits are hard to digest so therefore it's best to let them 'soak' in your stomach for a longer time and then you won't wake up feeling bloated. You're welcome!

Note 9: Sleep.
Now this has nothing to do with veganism in itself, but it's still SO important!
Sleep is the only time our body can really relax and digest all the food, so make sure that you're getting 8-10 hours of sleep every night.

Note 10: Green tea.
You have no idea how good green tea is for you!
It's amazing, it helps with digestion, improving health, brain function, fat burning, lowering the risks for cancer, Alzheime's, Parkinson's and diabetes.
So drink up!
