i have a broken metabolism (how i'm fixing it).
so... it's been a while. i have an explanation but at the same time i don't.
for the latest couple of weeks my stomach has been constantly bloated, i haven't been able to do number two very well and i have no idea of what is going on.
now i know a part of it might be stress from school etc. but it just doesn't make sense.
i wake up bloated, i eat i bloat even more and it doesn't stop.
but yesterday i decided that i was through with putting up with it, so here are a few things that i am doing daily to boost my metabolism and heal my stomach from digestive issues.
1. turmeric and msm shot every single day.
turmeric is an amazing stomach booster and msm is a great way to get out toxins as well, so therefore i decided to take a shot of each every single day.
2. lemon water in the morning.
lemon is amazing for your stomach, so therefore i drink it in hot/ or room temperature water.
3. eating less fruit.
now i don't want people to come at and say that "fruit is good, you shouldn't be afraid of fruits" because i'm not. i simply have a very sensitive stomach and if i eat too much fruit it will mess up digestion. therefore right know i am i eating one at most a day.
but as i soon as i get this bloating issue fixed i will slowly start incorporating more.
4. eating when hungry, not overeating and eating slow.
i am actually okay at doing this, but it's a good reminder.
eating when hungry is super important to fuel your body, but eating when you're not hungry or simply overeating is not necessary so i make sure to eat until i'm pleasantly full.
as for eating slow and chewing my food, it's a thing i defiantly have to work on.
5. drinking more water.
i do drink an okay amount of water everyday, but i think i need to step up my game.
also a thing to note is too drink water before you eat, not while you're eating.
6. move my body.
so since my digestion has been so slow i haven't been able to exercise.
mainly because i am so fucking tired, honestly. but i have decided to start running again and doing yoga four times a week.
7. eating lots of greens.
i've been trying to smack in greens as often as i can, since greens are simply the best.
8. eat certain vegetables cooked.
so some vegetables might be harder to digest, so i try to cook most of my vegetables when eating hot food to them.
9. eat fiber, but not too much.
enough fiber is amazing and needed for the stomach, but too much can lead to constipation.
so i try to eat more, but not too much.
10. food combining.
it's sort of self explanatory, but you could look into yourself if you want.
so yeah, those are the things. i'm sorry i have been gone for a bit but sometimes life is tough man.
